Turkey crashes through windshield, striking truck driver’s face

A truck driver suffered minor injuries on Tuesday when she struck a turkey on an Ohio roadway.

The incident occurred in Gallia County, Ohio, around 8:40 a.m. on U.S. Route 35 near milepost 11, about a mile east of Ohio State Route 350.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the truck driver was hauling a load of commercial dog food when she struck a turkey in the roadway.

The turkey went through the truck’s windshield and struck the driver’s face.

The truck crashed off the highway, but no other vehicles were involved.

The truck driver suffered minor facial injuries but was not transported to the hospital.
