A man was seriously hurt on Thursday after a bobtail semi drifted onto the shoulder where he was stopped on his motorcycle.
The accident happened on September 1st at around 1:30 p.m. in Lehigh County, Pennsylvania.
According to Lehigh Valley Live, a bobtail semi truck was traveling in the right lane of Interstate 78 near the Route 100 interchange when it drifted onto the right shoulder. The truck then struck a motorcycle stopped on the shoulder, pushing the bike and its rider into a second man standing on the shoulder.
The man on the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The second man sustained minor injuries, but refused treatment on scene.
The truck driver was not hurt in the incident. Police are still investigating the crash. Anyone with information on the crash should contact state police at Fogelsville at 610-395-1438.
