Video shared by local Louisiana police captures the moment that a truck left the interstate and careened down an embankment, crossing several lanes of active traffic before coming to a stop.
The incident occurred in Rayne, Louisiana, on March 17.
From the Rayne Police Department:
On March 17, 2022, at approximately 11:30 am, the Rayne Police Department responded to a single vehicle accident involving a 2011 KW tractor and trailer. The vehicle was traveling east on Interstate 10 when for unknown reasons it left the roadway, drove down an embankment, crossed The Boulevard and came to rest on private property. The tractor caught fire and the Rayne Volunteer Fire Department was called to the scene to extinguish the blaze. The driver of the tractor sustained minor injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
