VIDEO: Police seek semi truck driver who appears to spark fire that destroyed a bus barn in Missouri

Published:

Police have released security camera footage of the moment that a semi truck snagged a power line, allegedly triggering a fire that cost a school district their bus barn.

The incident began around 3:30 a.m. on October 20 in Mountain View, Missouri, according to Ozark Radio News.

The Mountain View Police Department responded to the fire at the Mountain View School District Bus Barn around 4 a.m. By the time officers arrived, the building was already heavily damaged by fire and it was destroyed by the time that firefighters were able to put the fire out.

Though the bus barn was destroyed, police were able to retrieve video from a security camera mounted on the side of the building. They released the video in hopes of identifying the person responsible.

The fire remains under investigation by the State Fire Marshals office, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Missouri Department of Transportation, as well as by the Mountain View Police Department.
