VIDEO: Semi truck surrounded and looted during street takeover

A truck driver was reportedly attacked after he was surrounded by a large group of people during a street takeover in San Bernardino, California.

The incident occurred after midnight on Monday at the intersection of W. 5th Street and Mt. Vernon Avenue as hundreds of people blocked the roadway, shooting off fireworks and doing donuts.

During the street takeover, a witness recorded video of a semi truck driver attempting to pass through the intersection. In the video, you can see people from the crowd opening the door of the truck and later taking furniture from the trailer.

The witness told FoxLA that the crowd threw beer bottles and attacked the truck driver.

“He was outnumbered. There was a hundred people around that truck, and he was outnumbered,” the witness said.

Police eventually broke up the street takeover.

The truck driver is reportedly in pain from the attack.
