A truck driver was a first-hand witness to a wreck involving two motorcycles and a sedan in this jarring video.
The accident happened in Paris, Illinois on Route 1 and Gibson Drive, reported the Edgar County Watchdog.
In the clip, the trucker moves into the right turn-only lane and is about to begin the turn when a sedan pulls out into the roadway. As the car pulls out, two motorcycles slam directly into the side of the car, throwing them from their bikes and causing the car to skid in a near circle.
The trucker the pulls onto the side road and comes to a stop, presumably to check on everyone involved in the situation.
The two motorcyclists, identified as Charla and Steven Messenger were both transported to a hospital following the incident. Information on their condition and the extent of their injuries has not been released. Investigators say that skid marks show that the motorcyclists locked their brakes prior to the collision.
The motorist, Aulden Boyd, was cited and arrested for “Failure to Yield” at a Stop Intersection. He was released on a Notice to Appear.
