Traffic cameras in Oxford, Massachusetts, captured the moment that a truck hauling sand overturned.
The Oxford Police Department described the November 3, 2022, crash:
Were you wondering what all the commotion was in the center today? Take a look! At 11:19am, a large truck travelling southbound on Main Street took a left hand turn onto Sutton Avenue, its sand load shifted and flipped the dump trailer onto its side. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. The driver is identified as Phil Shays of Rhode Island. The owner of the truck is listed as Douglas Equipment Corporation. Sutton Avenue was closed for app. 3 hours as the truck was uprighted and the side of the roadway was cleared of sand. The accident is being investigated by the MSP Truck Team and the Oxford PD.
