A report shared by Idaho News 6 dives into the long-standing tradition of free food and community on Thanksgiving at one of the nation’s most beloved truck stops located in Boise, Idaho.
The report features scenes from the 18 annual Driver Appreciation turkey dinner at Boise Stage Stop on Thanksgiving Day.
In the video, Boise State Stop General Manager Kim Rau, who comes from a trucking family, talks about the tradition of serving the trucking community each year. Rau told Idaho News 6 that the truck stop fed about 700 drivers last year and she hoped to be able to feed even more this year.
