Troopers with the California Highway Patrol were caught handing out a citation to the Big Idaho Potato Tour truck in this cheeky video captured during a September racing event.
In video shared on September 14, a trooper tells the Big Idaho Potato Tour truck team (along with racing driver Sting Ray Robb) that they’ve got some serious violations during a traffic stop initiated for “speeding” through fan village at the racing event.

The Idaho Potato Commission’s promotional big spud truck met up with Idaho resident Robb at the Monterey Grand Prix.
The violations on the citation read “Too Heavy, Improper Straps, Haulin’ Spud, 63 in 55.”
“It was an epic weekend at #montereygrandprix with the Big Idaho Potato Tour truck there to support & cheer for this #GrownInIdaho race car driver! Might have had a bit too much fun speeding through the fan village. Thanks to CHP for not throwing the cuffs on me,” Robb wrote in a social media post.
