Michigan State Police (MSP) recently shared dash cam video featuring the rescue of a person from an apparent suicide by truck attempt.
The video was captured on December 27, 2021.
According to MSP, a 22 year old male who was sitting in the left lane of a busy roadway at night was rescued by a state trooper, who pulled the man out of the path of an oncoming FedEx truck.
MSP says that the man was taken to a hospital for a mental health evaluation.
“This is another example of many things troopers do,” MSP said.
MSP reminds people who are in crisis, or know someone who needs help, to contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or http://suicidepreventionlifeline.org.
