WATCH: Tanker driver rescued from rushing water during desert flood 

A tanker driver was rescued after getting trapped in a current of rushing water in Nevada early on Wednesday morning. 

The incident happened on September 14th at 1:26 a.m. in Moapa Valley, Nevada along State Route 168.

According to ABC 13 News, rescue crews arrived to find a tanker truck stuck in a flood of rushing water with the driver unable to get out. Moapa Valley Fire District Swift Water crews were able to rescue the driver from his trapped rig with the help of safety ropes. 

The tanker driver’s rescue was captured on video. No one was injured in the incident. 

State Route 169, south of Overton, will be closed until further notice while NDOT cleans up the roads and removes the trapped vehicles.
