Wisconsin troopers call out trucker for lighting

The Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP) is reminding drivers that certain types of vehicle lights are not allowed on non-police vehicles.

On Wednesday morning, WSP took to social media to warn drivers that “blue and flashing lights are prohibited on non-police vehicles in Wisconsin. Headlights can be white or amber. Taillights must be red. A vehicle must have at least two headlights and not more than two fog lights and spotlights.”

WSP shared a photo of a semi truck along with the post as an example of the type of lighting that isn’t allowed.

WSP also shared links to state statutes on vehicle lighting, which you can view here and here.
