A woman was seriously hurt after being struck by a semi truck in Arizona early on Sunday morning.

The accident happened on September 25th at 2:28 a.m. near milepost 115 in Buckeye, Arizona. 

According to 12 News, the woman was attempting to push her apparently disabled car off of Interstate 10 when the semi truck hit her. 

The incident caused the woman considerable injuries and she is currently in serious condition. DPS has not yet released the details of what led to the crash, or confirmed whether or not impairment played a role in the incident. 

The eastbound lanes of I-10 near milepost 115 were shut down for some time, but they have since been reopened.
