Woman’s body found in woods outside of truck stop after traveling with trucker

Published:

A truck driver has been arrested after a woman’s body was found in the woods near a truck stop in Georgia earlier this month.

The woman was found on October 8th in the woods near Roadie’s Chevron Truck Stop in Woodbine, Georgia.

First Coast News reports that the victim, 46-year-old Jessica Goodrich, was traveling in the truck with driver Jason Palmer just before she was found.

Troopers in Indiana were tipped off about Palmer’s location on October 26th, and he was found parked in his truck at a Sinclair on State Road 1 just south of the Interstate 70 interchange in Cambridge City. He was taken into custody without incident, reported Fox 59 News.

Palmer is facing preliminary charges of murder, aggravated assault, and concealing death. He will be extradited back to Georgia.
