WSP: Crash serves as reminder that not everyone can use highway crossovers

Published:

The Wisconsin State Patrol are reminding drivers that highway crossovers are not for everyone after responding to a wreck involving a semi truck and a four wheeler.

The wreck occurred at an unspecified location in Wisconsin and was posted to the Wisconsin State Patrol Facebook page as a reminder to motorists about the dangers of ignoring the rules of the road.

“ONLY emergency and highway maintenance vehicles are allowed to use crossovers,” WSP wrote in their Facebook post.

“Thankfully everyone survived this crash, but it was preventable. If you miss your exit and need to turn around, the safe and legal option is to proceed to the next exit and use the off and on ramps,” the post continued.
