Big rig hauling green beans crashed into a creek, Texas Sheriff says

Authorities in Texas responded early Wednesday morning when a big rig hauling green beans crashed into a creek.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) reported the crash on westbound I-10 at mile marker 673 around 2:15 a.m. on Wednesday, November 22.

Police say that an “18 wheeler carrying 40,000 lbs of green beans left the roadway and crashed down into the creek.”

The truck driver appears to be okay, according to FCSO.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.

Other responding agencies include Fayette County EMS, Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department and Texas DPS.

Drivers have been asked to avoid the area as crews work to remove the truck from the creek.
