“Chicken juice” spill forces partial closure of I-83 in PA

Published:

A portion of a Pennsylvania interstate had to be shut down on Wednesday morning due to a leak from a semi truck.

The incident happened on February 15th in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on Interstate 83.

According to ABC 7 News, a tractor trailer was traveling northbound on the interstate when it began leaking what the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has described as “chicken juice.”

PennDOT closed I-83 near Harrisburg through late morning to allow for crews to clear the substance from the roadway. The interstate was fully reopened by late morning.

It is unclear why the tractor trailer was leaking.
