The Colorado State Patrol (CSP) released body cam and dash cam video that features a suspect in a stolen police cruiser fatally colliding with a semi truck.

The incident began at 11 a.m. on June 20 when CSP was called in to assist the Otero County Sheriff’s Office with a police pursuit happening on Highway 50.

The suspect, Anthony Alphonso Sanchez III, 31, allegedly intentionally caused several crashes before troopers were able to use a PIT maneuver to take him off the road.

Sanchez was handcuffed in the backseat of a CSP cruiser but managed crawl into the front seat to steal the car anyway, leading police on another pursuit along Highway 50.
