Officials in Stoneham, Massachusetts, are responding to an incident involving a truck that resulted in multiple downed utility poles.
The incident occurred around 9:30 a.m. on March 1 on Montvale Avenue in Stoneham.
WCVB reports that a truck clipped a power wire, which resulted in seven utility poles coming down.
Downed wires fell on several vehicles.
The Stoneham Fire Department reported that a person was trapped in a vehicle due to downed wires and could not be rescued until the power was shut off.
No injuries have been reported.

“We are still investigating exactly what caused all seven utility poles to come down at the same time, but we are sure that Montvale Avenue will be closed in this area for an extended period of time,” said Stoneham Chief McIntyre. “We’re asking the public to avoid the area to ease traffic congestion as we respond to this incident.”
