Indiana State Police (ISP) responded to a collision that caused hundreds of gallons of tar to spill out on the roadway Tuesday morning.
According to ISP – Lowell Post, the crash occurred on the morning of August 22 on eastbound I-80/94 at mile marker 5.6.
Troopers say that a crash occurred in the express lane that resulted in 750 gallons of tar spilling out on the road.
“Cleanup is expected to be extensive,” ISP said. Major traffic backups were reported in the area.
