Wild dash cam video captures the moment that a semi truck strikes a low-hanging cable in North Carolina.
The incident occurred on April 27 north of Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
In dash cam video captured at the scene, you can see a semi truck in the right lane strike a cable, which tangles in the driver’s side window. You can also see an excavator at work on the right shoulder.
The dash cammer veers left to give the other truck room and both vehicles are able to stop safely.

Facebook user Randy Marsh shared more information and photos in a post on April 28.
“I was extremely lucky yesterday on I-95. Just north of Rocky Mount, an idiot on an excavator working on the side of the highway managed to pull down a power line that ran across I-95. The following pictures show what happened to the truck in front of me. While the driver of the truck directly in front of me was injured, he was not killed,” Marsh said.
