A driver was cut free from between a concrete wall and his rig after a serious accident in San Antonio on Wednesday.
The accident happened just after 11:30 p.m. on January 1st on Interstate 35 south near the Von Ormy Road exit.
According to News4SA, police arrived to find the truck driver stuck between a concrete median wall and his semi truck. First responders were able to cut him free, and he was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The details of the accident are not clear, but the incident forced the closure of the highway as crews cleared the debris and moved the semi truck’s load of large car parts onto another truck.
The roadway has since been reopened. No further information has been released.
