A truck driver was ejected from his truck on Monday afternoon after he crashed off of an interstate on-ramp bridge.
The accident happened in Pikesville, Maryland at around 1:45 p.m. on the Interstate 795 on-ramp bridge from Interstate 695.
According to WBAL News, the truck crashed, flipped over the barrier wall, and fell through the gap between the roadways. The trucker was ejected from the cab and the truck landed on its roof. Firefighters used a stokes basket to hoist the driver back onto the highway for treatment.
The driver was then flown to a hospital as a trauma patient, but details on his condition have not been released.
I-795 north was shut down as a result of the crash. No further information has been released.
