Forklift and 18 wheeler rampage reported at Kansas City business

Police in Kansas City, Kansas, are investigating an incident that occurred at a business on Thursday evening.

The incident was reported to the Kansas City Kansas Police Department (KCKPD) at a business in the 300 block of S. 55th Street at 8 p.m. on March 2.

A KCKPD public information officer told CDLLife:

An individual, reportedly armed with a knife, had entered the building. He was able to gain access to a forklift in the warehouse where he flipped a pallet. He then also flipped an employee’s vehicle, striking the employee in the process. He then lifted the trailer of an 18 –wheeler and attempted to drive another 18-wheeler out of the building through a closed garage door. It was at that point officers arrived and took him into custody without incident.”

The incident remains under investigation and no further information is currently available.
