Founder of trucking company H.O. Wolding passes away at age 111

The founder of major Wisconsin-based national dry van carrier H.O. Wolding passed away last week.

On November 17, Nelsonville, Wisconsin, resident Herbert O. Wolding died at the age of 111.

Wolding was born on October 15, 1912.

Wolding founded trucking company H.O. Wolding in 1935.

The company started as a one-man milk route and over the years grew into a large dry van fleet with truckload operations in the U.S. Midwest, northeast and southeast regions.

By the time that H.O. Wolding was acquired by Canadian carrier Bison Transport in 2019, the company had grown to a fleet of 320 trucks.
