An infant had to be extricated from a vehicle after a chain-reaction crash involving four semi trucks and three other vehicles in New York on Friday night.
The accident happened on February 3rd in Victor, New York on the New York State Thruway near exit 45.
According to Fishers Fire District, the wreck involved a jackknifed tractor trailer, three more semi trucks, and three additional vehicles. One of the cars smashed into the side of one of the wrecked tractor trailers, trapping the motorist and an infant inside.
When emergency crews arrived, they immediately began extrication of the driver and infant in the wrecked car. Several other motorists and truckers required varying levels of extrication as well.
“Our thoughts go out to those involved in the incident last night, and hope for a speedy recovery,” police wrote in a post. “Please slow down and take extra time and caution when traveling during inclement weather.”
