Four tractor trailers burn in fire Massachusetts police call ‘suspicious’

Authorities in Attleboro, Massachusetts, are investigating a fire that damaged multiple tractors trailers in an industrial area on Monday evening.

Local firefighters described the incident:

At approximately 7 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, Attleboro Fire responded to 527 Pleasant St. for a report of a fire. Upon arrival, crews observed four tractor trailers on fire. Crews found that the tractor trailers were filled with cardboard, which fueled the fire.

It took firefighters about two hours to extinguish the blaze.

No injuries were reported.

Firefighters also responded to a dumpster on fire on on Eddy Street in Attleboro at around the same time that the tractor trailer fires were reported.

The Attleboro Police Department told NBC 10 News that the fires are considered suspicious because they occurred close together around the same time.

The fires are still under investigation.
