Georgia police discover a slew of violations during nighttime house move

Police officers in Georgia uncovered multiple worrisome violations after catching a truck moving a house after dark.

In a Wednesday social media post, the Georgia Department of Public Safety (DPS) detailed a law enforcement assist that occurred after an oversized load struck power lines on Monday.

From Georgia DPS:

“Okay… hang on for this one. MCO1 Holderfield and MCO1 Cooley (Region E) responded to assist McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office with a CMV that had taken down power lines around 9 PM Monday. When they arrived, they saw a CMV moving a house. The driver had no oversized load permits, no trailer brakes, the house was not secured to the trailer AT ALL, and much more. The driver had a valid CDL, at least.”
