HELP: Trucker’s ‘Ride or Die Dogs’ missing after tire blowout flips rig

Published:

A truck driver is asking for help finding his two dogs that ran away after getting spooked by a truck wreck caused by a tire blowout.

The accident happened at around 2:45 p.m. in Von Ormy, Texas near San Antonio on Saturday afternoon.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reports that no one was seriously hurt in the crash, but the incident did cause the truck to overturn. Both dogs, Maggie and Flower, escaped the overturned can after their owner, truck driver Marcus Mooney, was pulled from the wreckage by first responders.

Flower was wearing a green harness and is microchipped. Maggie was wearing a blue collar and is not microchipped.

“We laughingly call them his ‘ride or die dogs,’” said Mooney’s wife in a video interview with Kens5 News.

“To not know where they are… if they need medical services… it’s been a really rough night,” she continued.

If you see the dogs, their owners ask you to please try to contain them and to contact the dogs’ owners by text at (817) 771-0101.
