Hotel smashed by stray semi 


A hotel in Texas was seriously damaged after a semi truck crashed into it on Sunday morning. 

The accident happened at around 9 a.m. in Borger, Texas at the Borger Ambassador Inn at the corner of E 3rd and S. Florida streets.

According to ABC 7 Amarillo, the semi truck was heading west on E 3rd when it crossed over the center median, drove over a traffic light median, drove across the right turn lane, jumped the curb, plowed through the hotel parking lot, and finally crashed into the side of the building. 

The truck driver sustained non life threatening injuries in the incident. No one inside of the hotel was injured. 

The building was evacuated as a precaution. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
