Wait, is that a diesel-powered Tesla Inc. semi hauling Cybertrucks? Check out these photos from CHP

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) recently shared interesting photos of car haulers loaded up with some “strange trucks.”

On Thursday, August 17, CHP – Buttonwillow shared several photos of auto transporters in motion on I-5.

From CHP:

While on patrol this morning……..One of our units spotted a few car haulers loaded with some strange trucks traveling northbound on Interstate 5. I wonder what they are? Where are they going?

The vehicles in transport are indeed the striking-looking all-electric Cybertruck, according to InsideEVs.

The photos shared by CHP show that at least one of the trucks hauling the load of Cybertrucks is a “not for hire” Peterbilt with the Tesla Inc. company name and associated DOT number on the side.

According to the FMCSA’s SAFER Website, Tesla Inc.’s fleet includes 291 trucks and 266 drivers.

Tesla rolled out the long awaited Tesla Semi late last year, delivering several Tesla Semis to PepsiCo in early December 2022.
