Kansas animal shelter reunites trucker with his lost co-pilot

Published:

A Topeka animal shelter went above and beyond to help a lost dog reunite with her truck driver owner.

According to Helping Hands Humane Society, truck driver Archie lost his dog Poppy during a stop in Topeka.

Archie stayed overnight in Topeka searching for Poppy but had an appointment in Oklahoma and had to call off his search.

Poppy later ended up in the Helping Hands shelter and was fortunately microchipped, allowing the shelter to contact Archie.

A volunteer drove Poppy more than four hours all the way to Dodge City, Kansas, where she was reunited with Archie.
