Louisiana and Mississippi troopers to crack down on aggressive and impaired motorists operating around CMVs

Louisiana and Mississippi troopers are teaming up to give truckers what they really want for the holidays — extra enforcement on aggressive and impaired motorists operating around CMVs.

Louisiana State Police (LSP) recently announced a major traffic enforcement effort in partnership with the Mississippi Highway Patrol Motor Carrier Division.

The two agencies say that they are working together during the holidays to “protect our roads from aggressive and impaired drivers operating around commercial motor vehicles” through both enforcement and public outreach.

In order to demonstrate how the enforcement effort will work, the agencies created a video with help from trucking company L&B Transport to show how both agencies will communicate and dedicate resources during the holidays to combat motor vehicles operating aggressively and recklessly around commercial motor vehicles.
