Lumber truck loses it on Michigan curve

A truck driver is hurt after failing to negotiate a curve in Michigan on Wednesday night. 

The accident happened on June 7th in Pierson Township, Michigan on US 131 south at the 22 Mile Road overpass. 

According to Fox 17 News, the semi truck ran off of US 131 along a curve as it approached the 22 Mile Road overpass. The flatbed then overturned and lost its load of lumber before coming to a stop near an embankment. 

The southbound lanes of US 131 were closed for three and a half hours while investigators evaluated the incident. The truck driver was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries. 

No further information has been released.
