On Friday, Love’s Travel Stops shared the company’s strategic growth plan for the year ahead, which includes opening dozens of new truck stops and renovating existing locations.
Truck stop chain Love’s plans to open 25 travel stops, 15 Love’s Truck Care and Speedco locations, and 30 new restaurants in 2023, the company stated in a February 17 announcement.
Love’s did not provide information on the locations of the new truck stops.
Also in 2023, Love’s plans to begin renovations on existing truck stop locations, “strengthening the company’s commitment to maintaining safe and clean locations.” Stores will remain open during renovations, which could include restroom upgrades or even complete remodels.
“What Tom Love started in 1964 has evolved into more than a store that offers gas, and we’ll continue to push the envelope with the addition of new services, amenities and partnerships,” said Shane Wharton, president of Love’s. “Being innovative and strategic with what we do adds reasons for customers to choose us and we’ll continue to find new ways to offer good value at competitive prices across the Love’s Family of Companies.”
Last year, Love’s opened 28 new stores across the U.S., adding more than 2200 truck parking spaces to the company’s network. In 2021, Love’s opened 38 new stores and added more than 3000 truck parking spaces to the company’s network. The company also opened 38 stores and added over 3000 truck parking spaces in 2020.
Oklahoma City-headquartered Love’s currently operates 600 locations in 42 states.
