Man arrested for siphoning diesel from semi truck 

A man was arrested in Los Angeles on Wednesday night after he was caught siphoning diesel fuel from a tractor trailer. 

The incident happened at 8:40 p.m. on February 22nd in the 9000 block of Rancho Park Court in Rancho Cucamonga, California. 

According to KTLA 5, police were called to the scene on reports of a person allegedly stealing diesel fuel. When police arrived, the suspect led them on a short pursuit, but he was quickly apprehended near the intersection of Hellman Avenue and 8th Street. 

The man, 33-year-old Martin Coronado, was found to have siphoned fuel from a semi truck, and was in possession of two 330-gallon plastic tanks, siphoning hoses and an electric pump in his van. Police also found multiple burglary tools and a glass methamphetamine pipe. 

Coronado was booked on grand theft, possession of burglary tools, resisting arrest and drug charges, and is being held on $30,000 bail.
