An officer-involved shooting that left one person dead at a gas station in Florida on Tuesday night is under investigation.
The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on February 7 at a Busy Bee gas station off of I-10 and Highway 129 in Live Oak, Florida.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) a man was fatally shot by a state trooper at the diesel pumps at the Busy Bee store.
The identity of the person who was killed has not been released.
The trooper was not injured.
The trooper involved in the shooting has been placed on administrative leave per FHP policy.
FHP has not provided information on whether the deceased was armed or what led to the shooting.
The shooting will be investigated by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
