The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday.
Shortly after 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, HCSO responded to the Progreso Port of Entry located in Progreso, Texas.
When deputies arrived on scene, they found a 34 year old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the back inside a semi truck.
The male was transported to a local hospital for treatment, but was pronounced dead at 11:36 p.m. on Sunday.
KRVG reports that police spoke to a second party involved in the shooting, which led them to Gonzales Road and Military Highway for further investigation.
HCSO says the investigation is ongoing.
