An unusual heavy equipment haul caused a big stir at a truck stop in Louisiana this week.
On Tuesday night, a trailer hauling what is believed to be a Russian tank was initially spotted at Peto’s Travel Center and Casino located off I-10 in Roanoke, Louisiana.
Several news outlets say that the object on the trailer is a T90-A Russian tank captured by Ukrainian forces.
A representative from Peto’s told KSLA that the tank was stuck in the parking lot from Tuesday until at least Thursday night due to a truck transmission problem.
Business Insider cites open source intelligence groups that claim that the tank was “captured by Ukraine’s 92nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, hence the yellow 9s on the tank while in Louisiana (this is the marking the 92nd puts on their equipment),” but there is no information available on where the tank is coming from or where it is headed.
Several photos of the tank have been shared online, including these from Reddit user u/Mutantlight.
