A fiery wrong-way collision involving a semi truck and a passenger vehicle was caught on video by a motorist on Tuesday.
The crash occurred near the Joint Base Lewis-McChord main gate in Pierce County, Washington, on the afternoon of March 7.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), a passenger vehicle driven by a 53 year old male was traveling south in the northbound lanes of I-5 when it crashed into a northbound semi truck.
The wrong way collision resulted in a major vehicle fire.
No serious injuries were reported.
Six mile traffic backups were reported in each direction of I-5 during the Tuesday evening rush hour.
WSP said that the wrong way driver was taken into custody for DUI.
