Motorist facing multiple charges after following, sexually harassing female trucker as she drove

Published:

Pennsylvania State Police say a motorist sexually harassed female trucker as she drove away from a stop for her 30 minute break.

The incident happened earlier this month on December 5th near Bedford, Pennsylvania along Interstate 99.

According to WTAJ News, the female truck driver stopped in Bedford for her 30 minute break and was then heading north into Blair County when she noticed a white SUV passing her, slowing down, and then brake checking her as the male motorist exposed himself and masturbated while pulling up next to her.

The unnamed truck driver says the motorist pulled over to the shoulder at one point during the encounter, but then caught back up to her while still exposing himself. She soon contacted police about the incident.

Pennsylvania State Police then found the SUV, driven by 44-year-old Erik Weaver, and pulled it over. Weaver told officers that he was at the same stop as the driver in Bedford and was parked next to the truck when he noticed the female driver started to unbutton her shirt. He says the driver did not fully undress, and he was unsure if she even knew he was inside of the car next to her.

Weaver then admitted to police that, after the stop, he had passed the truck driver on the interstate multiple times, and did expose himself to her. However, Weaver denied masturbating in front of the female truck driver.

Weaver is now facing charges of indecent exposure, stalking, open lewdness and other lesser charges from the incident. No further information has been released.
