A major crash involving a loaded cattle truck was reported on Tuesday near Columbia, Missouri.

The crash occurred around 10 a.m. on June 6 on the Rocheport Bridge carrying I-70 just outside of Columbia.

Officials said that three passenger vehicles and two semi trucks, including a loaded cattle truck, collided in the westbound lanes of the bridge.

One person was reported injured.

Of the 57 cows in the trailer, at least four are dead.

One lane of eastbound I-70 is currently open, while both westbound lanes are closed. The interstate is expected to remain closed through 4 p.m.
