Multiple vehicles damaged after car hauler crashes into viaduct in Ohio town

Police in Tiffin, Ohio, are responding to the scene after a truck hauling several cars struck a railroad viaduct on Wednesday.

The incident occurred on Wednesday morning at the railroad viaduct located on N. Washington Street in Tiffin.

Tiffin Police say that “semi truck hauling vehicles that crashed into [the viaduct]. There were several vehicles the truck was hauling that were damaged and a few were thrown off the trailer from the impact.”

Signage at the scene show the that overpass is marked at 11 feet 0 inches.

No other vehicles were involved.

No injuries were reported.

The street was closed for about an hour for investigation and cleanup of the crash.
