Mustang driver collides with mobile home being transported by truck

A motorist suffered serious injuries on Wednesday morning after colliding with an oversized load in Maine.

The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on May 31 in Wiscasset, Maine.

Police say that a 25 year old motorist in Mustang was traveling south on Route 1 when he crossed the center line.

WGME reports that a truck driver hauling a mobile home saw the Mustang enter the wrong lane and tried to move over to avoid a head-on crash.

The Mustang struck the mobile home on the truck’s trailer, crashing partially underneath the load.

The Mustang driver suffered life-threatening injuries.

The mobile home was badly damaged in the crash and was demolished at the scene to allow crews to place debris in dumpsters.

Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
