‘Tear Drops & Taillights’ song inspired by the sacrifice truckers make leaving families behind

Published:

Popular country artist Tony Justice recently shared an emotional ballad called ‘Tear Drops & Tailights’ inspired by the sacrifice truckers make leaving families behind to go out on the road.

In a Facebook post introducing the music video, Justice explains why he wrote the song:

As a child I remember what it felt like to watch my Dad leaving out in that big rig and wondering when he would be back home. Now as a father and trucker, I know how he felt watching his family slowly disappear in his mirrors wondering if he would be back… I’ve definatly lived life on both sides of that reality and that’s what inspired me to write ‘Tear Drops & Tailights’. Not only can most of us truckers relate to it, but also those we leave behind can as well. Thanks for sending me all the pictures. We did our best to get as many of them as we could into the video. Special thanks to Ryan Piana for editing this video and to my friends at Bennett Family Of Companies for sponsoring the album and to GoShineOn (Evan Steger) for being the song presenter. This video is for you, the ones who make the sacrifice it takes to keep America Functioning day in and day out. #respect
