No major injuries after I-77 collision that decimated a big rig

The Huntersville Fire Department (HFD) in North Carolina says that there were no serious injuries after an I-77 collision that decimated a big rig on Monday.

The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 16 in Huntersville, North Carolina.

HFD says that a tractor trailer crash occurred on northbound I-77 near Exit 25 (Sam Furr Road).

“Thankfully (and luckily) NO injuries,” HFD said, though WCNC reports two people suffered minor injuries.

Images shared by HFD show the extremely heavy damage to the cab of the truck for a non-major injury crash.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
