One person was killed in a Friday morning multi-vehicle crash on I-80 in Pennsylvania.
The crash occurred around 5:30 a.m. on February 17 in Snow Shoe Township, Pennsylvania.
According to the Snow Shoe Volunteer Fire Company, three tractor trailers were involved in a collision in the eastbound lanes of I-80 at mile marker 145 near a rest area entrance.
Two truck drivers involved in the collision were injured and transported by ambulance to a hospital as weather conditions did not permit a Life Flight helicopter to safely operate in the area.
One of the two truck drivers unfortunately passed away.
Eastbound I-80 was closed between Exit 133 and Exit 147 for about 5 hours.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Pennsylvania authorities.
