Two brothers were arrested after ganging up on another man outside of a trucking company in Texas late last week.
The incident occurred on February 9th at a trucking company located in the 200 block of El Lucero Road in Laredo Ranchettes, Texas in Webb County.
According to LMT News, a man called police to report that he had been assaulted by two males with a steel pipe wrench. When officers arrived, they found two brothers – Tomas Antonio Estrada-Gonzalez, 38, and Juan Vicente Estrada-Gonzalez, 32 – both from Matamoros, Mexico, and began questioning them. The victim told officers that Juan had struck him with a steel pipe in the head, and Tomas had punched him.
When questioned, both brothers remained quiet, but the owner of the trucking company soon explained to officers that the suspects worked and stayed there. The owner then allowed officers to search a recreational vehicle that was on her property where the brothers stayed. In the RV, officers found .2 ounces of marijuana, which the brothers claimed did not belong to them.
US Border Patrol Agents soon arrived to assist in the case and revealed that Tomas had multiple illegal crossings into the country and Juan was currently in the country illegally.
Juan Vicente Estrada-Gonzalez was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and Tomas Antonio Estrada-Gonzalez with assault. Both were additionally charged with possession of marijuana.
The victim went to an emergency care center for treatment. His condition is not known.
