POLICE: Crash between RV and semi truck hauling doubles leaves no survivors

Published:

Five people lost their lives during a crash between an RV and a semi truck in Pennsylvania on Wednesday night.

The accident occurred on August 9th at around 9 p.m. near Chambersburg, Pennsylvania on Interstate 81.

According to Penn Live Patriot News, an RV towing a trailer with a family of four inside was traveling south on I-81 when it blew a front-left tire. The blown tire caused the RV to cross the grassy median and veer into the northbound lane, where it collided head-on with an oncoming tractor trailer hauling doubles.

All four occupants in the RV, Donald, Kimberly, Miranda, and Dane Molander, were killed in the crash. The truck driver, James Shade, and his dog also died in the wreck.

Interstate 81 was closed throughout the night and reopened with lane restrictions at 7 a.m. on Thursday morning August 10th.
