POLICE: Lady trucker’s ex-boyfriend snuck onto truck, abused her on days-long trip

A man was arrested after sneaking onto the truck of his ex-girlfriend and abusing her during a days-long haul last weekend.

Police were called to Bitter Creek Rest Area on Interstate 80 near Casper, Wyoming on February 4th at 12:46 p.m. after someone reported a potential domestic disturbance between a female truck driver and a man.

When officers arrived, they found a grey Volvo truck and began speaking to the man and woman inside. As they interviewed the two, the female driver told officers that the man was not supposed to be in the truck with her.

According to Oil City News, the driver told police that the man, who was her ex-boyfriend, had entered her truck without her knowing back in California. Since then, she said he had physically and sexually abused her during her trip over the past several days, and even stabbed her in the leg.

When interviewed, the man gave police false information about his identity, but was later identified as Alejandro Delgado, a resident of California, with an active warrant for his arrest.

Delgado was arrested and booked into the Sweetwater County Detention Center on charges including a felony NCIC warrant (no bond, full extradition for parole violation out of Bakersfield, California) and misdemeanor interference with a peace officer.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
